With the era of new pernambuco coming to a close, Arcos Brasil now crafts exclusively using master-grade Ipe wood. This exceptionally dense material allows for a camber that bites into the string with an immediate response. It possesses the power and stiffness desirable for the modern violinist.
MODELS
Each of the four models offered is of high quality. The nickel level has fittings made from a lower grade of silver, however I find the sticks to be excellent. The silver and higher tiers have stiffer sticks, and their sterling silver fittings resist tarnishing and have a beautiful luster. The Limited Edition model has a more intricately carved frog. Arcos Brasil reserves their best wood for the Special Edition bows.
